Bo Jangles

What a guy

Personality-wise, Bojangles is a bit of a clown - sort of a goofy, friendly attention hound.   He’ll cheerfully catch YOU anywhere, and generally likes to be with the people and see what’s going on.  We have a hunch he’d like to be someone’s best buddy, and he’s not terribly picky.  This kind of personality means he was practically born to be someone’s cherished partner and a big ol’ pet. Family mule, anyone?

Under saddle and on the trail, Mr B. listens to his rider, and engages his brain at all times.  We use him for ponying our youngsters - he’s a solid and reliable role-model for the newbies.  He handles trail obstacles with ease, putting his common sense to use if a sticky situation arises- once he got his leg caught in a treefork, and waited calmly for his rider to dismount and free him.  It took some maneuvering, and he cooperated fully because he understood she was helping him. Then, she got back on, and off they went, without a hair out of place!

Cars, tractors, really rough terrain… it’s all no big deal to him. He’s seen all the deer, turkeys and scary things that are out there, and isn’t impressed.  And he’s happy alone, or anywhere in a group.

If you’re looking for a mount that’s more than just a working animal, but a partner and a friend, Mr. Bojangles is a joy to be around.  He’s safe enough for novices, handy enough for the more experienced, small enough to be safe for little people and stout enough to handle an adult as well. His consistency and uncomplicated nature make him one of our top-drawer mules.  He’s a VERY fast study, and learned to lie down on command very quickly! His price will only increase as he receives more training, so if he sounds like a good fit for you and your family, don’t miss out.  You can be off and enjoying all that gorgeous weather in the saddle, with your new best friend!
