Foxtrotter Mule
Tex is such a pleasure to take out on a ride. He loves to move. He is always wanting to see what is over the next hill. Not a plodder. Hits his gait and keeps on going. He is like the "Energizer Bunny. He just keeps going and going and going. To me that is one of the top characteristics in a mule. I want one that is still mentally ready to go at the end of a trail ride and the next morning as well. I am always pleased when a mule starts off like Texas 2 Step did. Natural gait. Easy to train. Trust and confidence in rider quick to develop. Works through issues on the trail quickly as well as retaining what was learned. He is the same old boy every time I saddle him up. The spring winds that mess a good horses mind up have no effect on this mule.
Of coarse he is being exposed to deer herds, wild turkey flocks, dogs and all things that can be encountered on the trail. It goes without saying he crosses water, loads, shoes, safe up and down hills. Never bolts. Stands to mount and dismount. Hope you enjoy his photos and movies!
