| Now, let’s talk about those GAITS! Katie’s a lot more than just another pretty face… because her mom was a good quality natural Tennessee Walker, her gait spread is top-notch. Starting at a dog walk, she’ll move seamlessly to a flatfoot walk, then through to a light head-nodding running walk, then to a speedy, forward rack! While she isn’t built for blazing top-end speed (like the fastest racking mules) Katie *excels* at comfort and general ride-ability. Don’t get us wrong - she can really pick ‘em up and lay ‘em down- but she’ll do it without getting all amped up and hot afterward, AND you’ll do it in comfort and style! No gimmicks, no devices, no BS - just a nice, natural-moving gaited mule that even someone new to riding gaited can saddle up and enjoy. Also, as an added bonus, she’ll really slow it down so you can still enjoy a ride with your non-gaited, quarter horse riding pals! Lead or follow, her good manners shine through. |

| Katie is a sweetheart who likes people in general, without any real preference for men or women. In the lot or pasture, she ends up towards the middle of the pecking order and you can count on her being easy to catch with grain - and usually ends up just plain easy to catch after she develops some trust and relationship with her regular riders. She’s a sweet, willing Molly, and like most mules, she’ll lean into her relationships within her new human family and equine herd. We suspect that someone’s about to get a new best friend! |

| Katie would be well suited for a variety of different riders, and different jobs, all the way from people new to gaited mounts and/or mules all the way to experienced mule owners, but because of her general friendliness and the fact that she doesn’t play favorites, she would probably make a fantastic family mule, though you might have some squabbles fighting over her - proceed at your own risk with that one! If you’re looking for a longeared partner for the years, and you want to camp, trail ride, get your confidence back, ride but also have something safe to put your less-experienced spouse on - well here you go! One thing we know for sure - Katie is going to be a real find for the right family, and will be absolutely treasured wherever she ends up.
