Vacation the USA through the ears of a Missouri Mule!
"GO GAITED"
Rackin roxy |
Out of a top quality Tennessee Walker and a fast-stepping gaited jack, Roxy is a racking
machine. This little gal is very forward going with no hesitation, and her gaits progress from loose and
comfortable dog walk, to the flat-foot walk, then to a very correct head-nodding running walk, and finally
ending up in top gear-- a powerful, ground covering rack that eats up the miles. There is no canter here--
she transitions smoothly through her gait progression, without requiring any tinkering to get a correct
running walk or rack. Roxy’s gaits are about as “point and shoot”as they come-- smooth
and reliable every time. This molly is one of the finest (and most fun!) rides we’ve ever offered
and would excel at a variety of events, including the show ring!

Part of what makes Roxy exceptional is the quality of her mind. Although she’s got too much go for
a nervous novice, she’s not a hot-head. She’s got a great handle on her, and she’ll not
only stop and stand still, but she also stretches out to for you to get on! On the ground, she’s a little
reserved until she gets to know you. At first, we thought she might be hard to catch, but as time has passed
we’ve got her figured out. Many mules are “relationship” mules- they don’t give you
their heart on the first date. Roxy is no exception. Once she gets to know you, she’ll come to you pretty
quick, especially on a dry lot. |
We haven’t found anything that spooks her yet, and we’ve
tried! School busses, surprise dogs popping out of the bushes, turkeys, loud tractors, tarps--
you name it. Not a flicker of the ear. On the trail, she’s all business. She has no baggage
and trusts her rider completely. This means she moves forward, without hesitation, no matter
the obstacle in front of her. She’s been out moving the cows around, and down the road,
all without a hitch. With this much speed, and a level head she might make someone a once-in-a-lifetime
fancy field trial mount! Roxy gets compliments everywhere we take her. Under saddle, she has
this powerful “Look at ME!” attitude that really catches the eye. From her shiny
black coloring and cute brown nose, to her gorgeous and feminine head and her jaw-dropping gaits,
this rare molly oozes charisma. We’ve had a couple diehard horse people see us out and
about, and say they finally understand what the “big deal” is about gaited mules!
If you’ve been looking for a fast-gaited racking mule, you might want to meet Roxy sooner,
rather than later. We’ve never offered one with better gaits, and mules of this caliber
don’t come along every day. She will go very quickly once the word gets out.

The worlds legendary Missouri Mules have always had a highly esteemed
repCutation. That reputation was earned by applying its ability to help man compete and win on the battlefield or the
cotton field. Man has utilized this hybrid from the time Solomon road David’s She Mule to be anointed king of
the Israelites all the way to the settlement of the wild west and after that the mule traversed two world wars. As they
assisted man, they won his heart and soul. Now, after decades of developing excellent gaited mares and fine jack stock
you have the privilege of sitting atop the safest gaited trail mounts ever produced.
