Yuma

He’s going to be a real find for someone who appreciates a solid, well-trained mule and doesn’t want to fool around with a “pet.” He’d be ideal for a field trialer or a mountain rider/packer - but we do suspect that he has it in him to be someone’s buddy, after they get to know each other a bit. As for Yuma, he won’t care who he’s packing. He likes people, and he likes his job. If you aren’t completely spoiled by chrome and want to ride one of the best mules that doesn’t have a white hair on ‘em, come on out

If you’re looking for a very consistent, solid mount over treacherous terrain where safety is just as much of a priority than speed, Yuma could absolutely knock your socks off. His stout, horse-shaped frame has the strength and substance to pack a heavy person or a heavy load all day, and the smooth gait to make the ride as pleasant as it can be.

Creeks, rocks, steep terrain, dogs, turkeys, traffic and all the usual suspects are no big deal for him - he has a real workmanlike attitude and it’s hard to find anything that upsets him. Like all our other mules, he’s used to all the hustle and bustle of farm life… but he’s also done a stint as an “aircraft carrier.” Yep. Most of the most recent batch of drone videos were all shot off drones launched off this guy’s saddlebags! Like all of the youngsters born and raised here, Yuma has had the benefit of lots and lots of respectful and purposeful handling and riding. He enjoys people and trusts them, although he’s a little more reserved and business-like. This comes in handy for the busy rider or someone needing a mule for work, because he’s very low-maintenance and not inclined to make a fuss or seek lots of attention. He also knows his job very well, and is still the same solid guy even if he’s had some time off.
